👋 Hello there, my name is Kristijan Kofiloski. I am an iOS engineer with a strong passion for technology, software, and sports.
I started writing code during high school. I hold a Bachelor of Science in the field of Implementation of e-Technologies. During university, I worked on embedded systems, web development with HTML and CSS, and native mobile apps for iOS and Android using Swift and Java.
My professional career consists of designing, developing, and maintaining mobile apps, as well as delivering new features for clients, primarily on iOS and mainly in Swift. I also have experience building software from idea to deployment, including mobile apps, IoT solutions, and web services with Node.js deployed on Google Cloud Platform (Firebase).
I have worked on products at scale, including apps with millions of sessions per day, approximately 99% uptime targets, and release cadences of once every three weeks, while collaborating across teams of dozens of people.
I am a proud founder and organizer of iOSKonf, the premier iOS conference in the Balkans.
I also volunteer, host, and organize the local Apple platform development community cocoaheads.mk.
Some of my additional experience and skills include:
- Development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for iOS apps (CircleCI, fastlane, GitHub Actions)
- Designing features and apps from idea to specifying REST APIs and backend/app requirements
- Interviewing, testing, and recruiting candidates for iOS engineering roles
- Apple app distribution and setup through App Store Connect
- Creating and reviewing pull requests, and working with Git flow
- Setting up third-party services and projects like Firebase (Google Cloud) and Amazon Amplify, and integrating them into iOS apps
- Writing PRDs, scoping and architecting work, and splitting work into tickets
- Working and communicating with remote teams
